Citizenship Applications

In order to apply for Canadian citizenship as an adult you must

  •  Be over 18 years of age
  • Provide proof of language ability in English or French
  • Be a permanent resident (PR)
  • Have lived in Canada as a PR at least 3 years out of the last 5
  • Have filed your taxes for at least 3 years during the last 5 years and any income tax you may owe must be paid
  • Apply for citizenship from within Canada

Applications for Recognition of Canadian Citizenship

Some people, if born to a Canadian parent, may already be citizens of Canada.  Canada’s citizenship rules are constantly changing and citizenship rights are often dependent on where and when you were born.  Please contact us if you require help with an application to recognize your Canadian Citizenship.
